Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of commercial construction and specialist fit-out projects across South East Queensland, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and collaboration.

You will coordinate subcontractors and site personnel, manage programmes and QA processes, and work closely with Project Managers, clients and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards, including

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Manager or equivalent on commercial projects.
• Healthcare, medical or hospital project experience is highly regarded.
• Current White Card and relevant site safety qualifications.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and priorities in a fast-paced site.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring works progress safely and per specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site personnel, including scheduling and performance management.
• Drive a strong safety culture with toolbox talks, inductions and audits.
• Liaise with Project Managers, clients, consultants and authorities.
• Monitor quality control and compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Manage site programmes and track milestones, resolving issues proactively.
• Maintain site documentation including diaries, inspections and incident reports.
• Coordinate materials and support procurement to keep programme on track.
• For healthcare environments, manage compliance, infection control and handover requirements when applicable.

We're working with a well-established construction company delivering high-quality commercial new build projects and specialist fit-outs across South East Queensland.

With a strong focus on safety, quality and collaboration, the business has built a solid reputation for delivering technically demanding projects and maintaining long-term relationships with its clients.

We're seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team and take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of commercial construction projects.

About The Role

We are looking to identify an experienced and hands-on Site Manager to oversee projects across the commercial construction and specialist fit-out sectors.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

The role will involve coordinating subcontractors and trades, managing site personnel, maintaining strong WHS standards and working closely with Project Managers, clients and consultants to ensure successful project delivery.

Experience across medical, healthcare or hospital fit-outs will be highly regarded, particularly for candidates familiar with the additional compliance, staging and operational requirements associated with live environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring works progress safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site personnel, including scheduling and performance management
• Drive a strong safety culture, including toolbox talks, inductions, inspections and regular safety audits
• Liaise effectively with Project Managers, clients, consultants and relevant authorities
• Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with building codes, Australian Standards and project requirements
• Manage site programmes and track progress against key milestones, proactively identifying and resolving issues
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including site diaries, inspection records and incident reports
• Coordinate materials and support procurement activities to ensure projects remain on programme
• Where required, manage the additional compliance, infection control, staging and handover requirements associated with healthcare and medical environments

About You

• Proven experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Foreman across commercial construction or fit-out projects
• Experience with healthcare, medical or hospital projects is highly regarded
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and site safety management
• Relevant trade qualification and/or Diploma in Building and Construction
• Current White Card and relevant site safety qualifications
• Valid driver's licence
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and competing priorities in a fast-paced site environment
• A hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of site delivery
