Asset Building Systems Australia – Griffith NSW, is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to take projects from bare dirt to a complete, sheeted and fitted-out building. You will run day-to-day site operations, coordinate trades, ensure safety and quality, and plan labour and equipment well in advance.

You’ll lead crews on concrete, footings, steel erection and final fit-out, with travel and occasional overnight stays as part of the role. A White Card and valid driver's licence are required.

Competenze

• Must have practical experience on construction sites, including concrete/footings and steel frame work.
• Experience leading a crew or running a site, or willingness to step up into that role.
• White Card is required.
• Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one (sites may be on school locations).
• A valid driver's licence is required.

BUILD IT FROM THE GROUND UP

At Asset Building, we design and construct steel buildings: sheds, warehouses, workshops, industrial and commercial buildings, and school COLAs. We're looking for a hands-on Site Manager who can take a job from bare dirt to a standing, sheeted and fitted-out building, and enjoy doing it.

If you've run concrete pours, stood steel and kept a site moving, we want to hear from you. You don't need a perfect checklist of tickets. You do need practical experience and a commitment to doing the job right.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Running the site day to day. You'll be the Project Manager's eyes and ears on the ground and the person who keeps the job on track.
• Building from start to finish. This covers site establishment, demolition and earthworks, set-out, footings and slabs, steel erection, sheeting and final fit-out.
• Managing trades and subcontractors. You'll keep crews productive, coordinated and working safely.
• Planning ahead. You'll book labour, cranes, EWPs, scissor lifts and other hire one to two weeks in advance, and off-hire equipment promptly.
• Flagging changes early. You'll raise variations and delays, such as wet weather or hard rock, with the office on the same day so nothing slips through.
• Keeping safety and quality paperwork in order. This includes SWMS, ITPs, inductions, toolbox talks, weekly inspections and daily site reports.
• Keeping the client informed. You'll update customers proactively so they never have to chase for information.
• Getting your hands dirty when the job calls for it.
• Travel and staying overnight away from home could be a requirement from time to time.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Practical experience on construction sites, including concrete and footings work, and steel frame erection or similar structural work
• Experience leading a crew or running a site, or readiness to step up into that role
• A White Card
• A Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one (some of our work is on school sites)
• A driver's licence

Highly regarded (but not deal-breakers):

• A carpentry, steel-fixing, boilermaking or other construction trade background
• Experience with sheds, steel buildings or industrial and commercial builds
• Dogging or rigging tickets
• EWP, Working at Heights, crane or First Aid tickets
• WHS or OHS risk management training
