Job summary

Asset Building Systems Australia – Griffith NSW, is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to take projects from bare dirt to a complete, sheeted and fitted-out building. You will run day-to-day site operations, coordinate trades, ensure safety and quality, and plan labour and equipment well in advance.

You’ll lead crews on concrete, footings, steel erection and final fit-out, with travel and occasional overnight stays as part of the role. A White Card and valid driver's licence are required.

Qualifications

• Must have practical experience on construction sites, including concrete/footings and steel frame work.
• Experience leading a crew or running a site, or willingness to step up into that role.
• White Card is required.
• Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one (sites may be on school locations).
• A valid driver's licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Run the site day to day as on-site Project Manager's eyes and ears.
• Build from start to finish: site establishment, earthworks, footings, slabs, steel erection, sheeting, fit-out.
• Manage trades and subcontractors to keep crews productive, coordinated and safe.
• Plan ahead for labour, cranes, EWPs, lifts and other hires 1–2 weeks in advance.
• Flag changes early and communicate variations or delays to keep the project on track.
• Maintain safety and quality paperwork (SWMS, ITPs, inductions, tool box talks, inspections).
• Keep clients informed with proactive updates so information isn’t missed.
• Be hands-on when needed and willing to travel or stay away from home if required.
• Travel and overnight stays away from home could be a requirement from time to time.
