SHAPE Australia in Melbourne is seeking a Site Foreman to lead on complex fitouts and refurbishments in live environments. You’ll coordinate trades, supervise safety, and drive project progression with the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or building related qualification in construction.
• Experience on fast-paced commercial fitout or refurbishment sites.
• Understanding of trade sequencing, site logistics and coordination.
• Experience conducting site inductions and coordinating subcontractors.
• Familiarity with construction documentation and recording site activities in project systems.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication.
• Positive, proactive approach with commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety through inductions, toolbox talks, safety plan reviews and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate subcontractor attendance and daily work sequences; assist in developing construction programmes.
• Organise site set-up, protection, access, amenities and deliveries to support teams.
• Maintain accurate site diaries and update project progress in Procore.
• Organise defect rectification and keep completion lists up to date for a quality handover.

You’ll play a key role in:

As a Site Foreman in our Melbourne team, you’ll be right in the thick of shaping spaces that make a difference. From complex fitouts to refurbishments in busy, live environments, you’ll help transform how people work, connect and experience their surroundings. It’s a hands‑on role with a team that works hard, backs each other and has fun along the way—giving you room to build your capability while bringing spaces to life.

• Championing our path to perfect safety through site inductions, toolbox talks, safe work method statement reviews and follow‑up on corrective actions
• Coordinating subcontractor attendance and daily work sequences, helping develop construction programmes with the Project Manager
• Organising site set‑up, protection, access, amenities and deliveries so teams have what they need to get to work
• Maintaining accurate site diaries and updating project progress through Procore to keep the project team informed
• Organising defect rectification and keeping completion lists up to date to support a quality handover

• Trade qualification or building related qualification within the construction industry
• Experience working on construction sites in a fast‑paced environment, ideally within commercial fitout or refurbishment
• Understanding of trade sequencing, site logistics and construction site coordination
• Experience conducting site inductions, coordinating subcontractors and monitoring site activities
• Familiarity with construction documentation and recording site activities in project systems
• A collaborative team player who communicates well with subcontractors, consultants and project teams
• A positive, proactive approach and a genuine commitment to safety and quality on site
