Qualifications

• Building-related degree, diploma or trade background.
• Experience estimating or quantity surveying in fitout/refurbishment.
• Strong understanding of construction trades, services and measurement principles.
• Ability to interpret specifications and drawings for accuracy and buildability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Collaborative mindset and relationship-building.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and reports to understand scope and strategy.
• Prepare take-offs, tender estimates and qualifications.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate requests for subcontractor quotations.
• Analyse subcontractor quotes and select suitable subcontractors.
• Support tender strategy meetings, bid planning and profit improvement strategies.
• Maintain tender records and project delivery updates.

As an Estimator, you’ll help secure new opportunities for our Sydney business by preparing accurate, commercially considered tenders and fee proposals. Working within our pre-construction team, you’ll bring together market insight, technical detail and strong subcontractor relationships to support bids across our diverse project portfolio.
You'll join a high-performing team that thrives on clear thinking, sharp attention to detail and genuine collaboration. From early tender strategy through to project handover, you'll help us win hard-dollar tenders through smart strategy and strong execution.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and reports to understand scope and buildability & strategy.
• Prepare take-offs, tender estimates and qualifications.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate requests for subcontractor quotations
• Analyse subcontractor quotes and recommend suitable subcontractor selections
• Support tender strategy meetings, bid planning and profit improvement strategies
• Maintain accurate tender records, project delivery updates and relevant databases

What you’ll bring

You’re commercially minded, organised and comfortable balancing detail with deadlines. You’ll enjoy strategising with others to solve problems, build strong relationships and turn a well-prepared bid into a successful project.

• Experience in estimating or quantity surveying, ideally in fitout and refurbishment
• A building-related degree, diploma or trade background
• Strong understanding of construction trades, services and measurement principles
• Confidence interpreting specifications and drawings for accuracy and buildability
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and project delivery systems
• A collaborative approach, with the confidence to build trusted relationships
• A positive, accountable mindset and genuine commitment to safety and quality
