Job summary

SHAPE Australia is seeking a Site Foreman for our Melbourne team to lead complex fitout and refurbishment projects on busy live sites. You will manage safety, coordination of subcontractors and build programmes with the Project Manager, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

The role requires a trade qualification, site experience in commercial fitout or refurbishment, and a collaborative, proactive approach to safety and teamwork on site.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or building related qualification within the construction industry.
• Experience working on construction sites in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of trade sequencing, site logistics and coordination.
• Experience conducting site inductions and coordinating subcontractors.
• Familiarity with construction documentation and recording site activities in project systems.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety through site inductions, toolbox talks and safe work method reviews.
• Coordinate subcontractor attendance and daily work sequences with the Project Manager.
• Organise site setup, access, amenities and deliveries to keep teams supplied.
• Maintain site diaries and update progress in Procore for the project team.
• Organise defect rectification and support a quality handover.

You’ll play a key role in:

As a Site Foreman in our Melbourne team, you’ll be right in the thick of shaping spaces that make a difference. From complex fitouts to refurbishments in busy, live environments, you’ll help transform how people work, connect and experience their surroundings. It’s a hands‑on role with a team that works hard, backs each other and has fun along the way—giving you room to build your capability while bringing spaces to life.

• Championing our path to perfect safety through site inductions, toolbox talks, safe work method statement reviews and follow‑up on corrective actions
• Coordinating subcontractor attendance and daily work sequences, helping develop construction programmes with the Project Manager
• Organising site set‑up, protection, access, amenities and deliveries so teams have what they need to get to work
• Maintaining accurate site diaries and updating project progress through Procore to keep the project team informed
• Organising defect rectification and keeping completion lists up to date to support a quality handover
