Job summary

Our client, a leading NSW infrastructure proposer, is seeking a Site Engineer or Project Engineer to join the team based in Mudgee or DIDO from Sydney or Newcastle. The role focuses on delivering a major roads and utilities project with strong QA, HSE, and cost-control responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in civil infrastructure, a relevant Engineering degree, and proven stakeholder management skills. A driving license is required and accommodation/travel support is provided.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with contractors, regulators, and internal teams.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, reporting, and contract management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven influencing and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project.
• Must have a driving license.

Responsibilities

Play a key role in the delivery of a high-profile infrastructure project, ensuring compliance, performance, and quality across the project. ASAP start for the right candidate.

Our client is a prominent player in the delivery of major infrastructure projects with a strong pipeline of work across NSW. They are now looking for a Site Engineer or Project Engineer to join their team either based in Mudgee or DIDO (Drive in / Drive out) from Sydney, Newcastle, or other locations.

This role is essential to the success of their roads project, ensuring effective project planning, stakeholder management, cost control, QA, HSE and project delivery.

You will ideally have experience working on civil infrastructure projects with either a head contractor background or client-side project management background. You’ll need to have a proven track record in coordinating civil projects, managing multiple priorities, and delivering results in line with project standards and expectations.

Having experience across the construction of roads, utilities, drainage, civil, earthworks etc. would be ideal.

This is a site-based role in Mudgee NSW, candidate can live locally or DIDO from Sydney, Newcastle etc. Travel allowance and accommodation provided.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer on a civil infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of construction standards, policies, and codes of practice
• Ideally experience in construction of roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks and civils works.
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

Key Responsibilities include:
