Job summary

Amida Group is seeking a Site Engineer or Project Engineer for a landmark NSW infrastructure project. This contract full-time role is based at Mudgee or DIDO from Sydney, Newcastle or other locations, with a 14:7 roster and ASAP start.

Travel allowance and accommodation provided. You will oversee civil infrastructure works, roads, utilities, drainage, and earthworks, ensuring compliance, QA, HSE and delivery against program.

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary engineering qualification in civil/related field.
• 3–5+ years of site/project engineering experience.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders, regulators, and internal teams.
• Attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee civil infrastructure works including roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks and civils.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor project activities to meet program and budget.
• Ensure compliance with QA, HSE and contractual obligations.
• Prepare and maintain reporting, documentation, and contractor management.

Job description

• Join a leading organisation on the client-side delivering a landmark infrastructure project.
• Oversee major greenfield construction activities, incl roads, utilities, civil, drainage, infrastructure etc.
• DIDO to Mudgee on a 14:7 roster, ASAP start.

Play a key role in the delivery of a high-profile infrastructure project, ensuring compliance, performance, and quality across the project. ASAP start for the right candidate.

Our client is a prominent player in the delivery of major infrastructure projects with a strong pipeline of work across NSW. They are now looking for a Site Engineer or Project Engineer to join their team either based in Mudgee or DIDO (Drive in / Drive out) from Sydney, Newcastle, or other locations.

This role is essential to the success of their roads project, ensuring effective project planning, stakeholder management, cost control, QA, HSE and project delivery.

You will ideally have experience working on civil infrastructure projects with either a head contractor background or client-side project management background. You’ll need to have a proven track record in coordinating civil projects, managing multiple priorities, and delivering results in line with project standards and expectations.

Having experience across the construction of roads, utilities, drainage, civil, earthworks etc. would be ideal.

This is a site-based role in Mudgee NSW, candidate can live locally or DIDO from Sydney, Newcastle etc. Travel allowance and accommodation provided.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer on a civil infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of construction standards, policies, and codes of practice
• Ideally experience in construction of roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks and civils works.
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

Key Responsibilities include:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5+ years’ experience.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with contractors, regulators, and internal teams.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with documentation, reporting, and contract management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex issues and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven influencing and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project.
• Must have a driving license
