Job summary

Amida Recruit AU seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to join a market-leading Tier 2 contractor delivering SMP, mechanical, piping and structural projects near Maitland NSW. On-site role with a strong progression path and a track record of delivering complex projects.

The role covers scope development, tender documentation, site visits, risk reviews, pricing, planning and client management on projects up to $5m.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 years+ experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of Risk Management.
• A strong commercial acumen.
• Ability to work part of a team as well as autonomously.
• High level of organisation and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite & MS Project.
• Knowledge of planning software.
• Construction Safety Induction (white/blue) card.
• Driver Licence.
• Ability to obtain a clear Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Assemble scope of works and request for tender documentation.
• Conduct site visits (remote and interstate sites).
• Conduct commercial, risk and profitability reviews.
• Provide detailed tender handover documentation.
• Create pricing models.
• Design comprehensive project programmes and communicate to team.
• Project delivery from inception through to completion.
• Ensure construction programmes are followed & deliver on project quality to programme.
• Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required.
• Manage project expenditure and cash flow.
• Management and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projects.
• Design management.
• Manage subcontractors on site.
• Manage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the project.
• Produce progress reports.

Great opportunity working on projects across SMP (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) and processing facilities projects. Initial project up to $5m.

A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to join their growing business.

They work across Civil, Infrastructure / Utilities, SMP, Piping, Fuel, Water Infrastructure etc. sectors. This project is located near Maitland NSW and will be 5 days per week on site 9hrs a day, candidates can live locally or commute daily from Newcastle or surrounding areas.

Candidates can be a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer at a Tier 1 looking for a Project Manager role or a Project Manager at a tier 2 construction firm.

Years of experience: 5 to 10 years +
