Job summary

Amida Recruit AU is seeking a Site Engineer or Project Engineer for a leading NSW civil infrastructure project. The role is site-based in Mudgee with DIDO options from Sydney or Newcastle and ASAP start for the right candidate.

You will oversee greenfield works across roads, utilities, drainage and civils, drive project planning, QA, HSE and cost control, and manage stakeholders to ensure compliant, on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5+ years’ experience on civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with contractors, regulators, and internal teams.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, reporting and contract management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex issues and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with influencing and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Must have a driving license.

Play a key role in the delivery of a high-profile infrastructure project, ensuring compliance, performance, and quality across the project. ASAP start for the right candidate.

Our client is a prominent player in the delivery of major infrastructure projects with a strong pipeline of work across NSW. They are now looking for a Site Engineer or Project Engineer to join their team either based in Mudgee or DIDO (Drive in / Drive out) from Sydney, Newcastle, or other locations.

This role is essential to the success of their roads project, ensuring effective project planning, stakeholder management, cost control, QA, HSE and project delivery.

You will ideally have experience working on civil infrastructure projects with either a head contractor background or client-side project management background. You’ll need to have a proven track record in coordinating civil projects, managing multiple priorities, and delivering results in line with project standards and expectations.

Having experience across the construction of roads, utilities, drainage, civil, earthworks etc. would be ideal.

This is a site-based role in Mudgee NSW, candidate can live locally or DIDO from Sydney, Newcastle etc.

The ideal candidate will have:
