Job summary

Civil Contracting & Sub-contracting is seeking a Site Engineer to provide practical civil engineering support on energy infrastructure projects across regional Queensland. You will translate drawings into on-site works, coordinate with the Project Manager and Site Manager, and ensure work complies with specifications, drawings and quality standards.

This full-time, site-based role operates on a 10-days-on, 4-days-off DIDO roster across Central Queensland.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree with practical site experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings for site crews.
• Experience with quality assurance, inspections, and construction docs.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel under DIDO roster.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate work packs and maintain records.
• Conduct site inspections with hold and witness points.
• Monitor quality, coordinate corrective actions and NCR closure.
• Support procurement of project materials and services.
• Record dayworks and liaise with clients on progress and issues.
• Support safe construction practices and environmental compliance.

Reputable Civil contractor delivering energy infrastructure projects across regional Queensland. With work spanning renewable energy, bulk earthworks and substations, the business places safety and quality at the centre of its operations.

About the role

Bring your civil engineering experience onsite and help turn construction drawings into completed works. Working closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager, you’ll provide practical engineering support to construction crews, resolve technical queries and ensure work meets project drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

This is a full-time, site-based position working a 10-days-on, 4-days-off DIDO roster, with projects across theCentral Queensland.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accurate work packs and maintaining construction records.
• Conducting site inspections, including hold and witness points.
• Monitoring quality and coordinating corrective actions and NCR closure.
• Supporting procurement of project materials and services.
• Recording dayworks and liaising with clients on site progress and technical issues.
• Supporting safe construction practices and environmental compliance.

What you’ll bring

A full medical is required during induction. Drug and alcohol testing and criminal history checks may also be required.
