Job summary

Hazell Bros on the Gold Coast is seeking multiple Site Engineers to support planning, construction phases and quality controls. You will monitor progress, manage ITPs and inspections, and ensure works meet specifications and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and 2+ years in civil construction. You will work with a down-to-earth team that values safety, collaboration and professional growth, with structured training and career pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in civil construction projects and site supervision.
• Knowledge of codes, regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and construction phases of the project.
• Monitor progress and optimise labour, plant and equipment usage.
• Set up project quality controls per project specs.
• Manage ITPs, inspections and engineering records to meet standards.
• Inspect work to ensure alignment with drawings and regulations.
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
• Take on other duties as reasonably directed.

Job Description

The ROLE

We are currently looking for a number of Site Engineers to join our team and grow their career with us. Responsibilities include the following:

• Assists with planning and construction phases of the project.
• Monitor progress, andsupport efficient use of labour, plant and equipment.
• Set up project quality controls in accordance with Project Specifications.
• Manage ITPs, inspections and engineering records, and ensure works meet specifications, standards and contractual requirements with minimal rework and NCRs.
• Inspectwork to verify it matches technical drawings, plans, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
• Any other duties or tasks as reasonably directed.

Desired Skills and Experience

About YOU

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years or more relevant experience in civil construction industry.
• Overall understanding of civil engineering principals.
• Good knowledge of regulatory governance, legislative requirements, codes of practice and compliance requirements.
• Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues and management.
• A growing understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies and technical risk management.
• Willingness to learn and ability to adapt to project needs.
