Job summary

ACLE Services is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our Project Delivery team for the 250MW / 1,000MWh Yanco BESS project in regional New South Wales. This hands-on, site-based role will lead the implementation of ACLE's HSE framework across construction, commissioning, handover and demobilisation, and promote a proactive safety culture on site.

You will manage inspections, audits, incident investigations, emergency preparedness and subcontractor HSE

Qualifications

• Diploma or tertiary qualification in work health and safety (WHS).
• Site-based HSE leadership on major construction/EPC projects.
• Experience in high‑risk construction controls, contractor assurance and incident investigations.
• Experience on renewable energy, utility‑scale storage or substation projects preferred.
• Strong reporting, data analysis and electronic HSE management systems capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide field-based HSE leadership and promote a proactive safety culture across the project.
• Implement and maintain ACLE's HSE framework, IMS, Construction Health and Safety Plan, and CEMP.
• Lead a program of inspections, audits and non-conformance close-out with timely action.
• Oversee high-risk activities (mobile plant, excavation, heights, electrical/HV work).
• Coordinate incident response and emergency planning, including investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and environmental controls under the CEMP.
• Maintain HSE records, reporting, and liaise with regulators and the Principal.
