Job summary

RSGx is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental efforts across regional WA renewables, infrastructure, and major construction projects. You will drive the HSE strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong safety culture on site.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee HSE resources, develop policies, and manage subcontractor performance, with a focus on solar farms, BESS and transmission works in regional Western Australia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ HSE leadership experience within renewables, mining, utilities, transmission, infrastructure, or major construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience on large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, BESS, substations, transmission).
• Proven experience implementing HSE management systems in construction environments.
• Experience with ICAM, TapRooT, or equivalent incident investigation methodologies.
• Experience managing subcontractor HSE performance and contractor compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organisation’s HSE strategy, objectives and framework.
• Direct and coordinate the HSE function to align with business objectives and governance.
• Lead planning and allocation of HSE resources across projects.
• Manage HSE personnel development and succession planning.
• Develop and approve HSE policies, standards, and management systems.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and industry requirements.
