Job summary

My Coast Support is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide SIL and community support on the Central Coast. You will help participants with daily living, personal care and community activities, with focus on independence and dignity.

Sleepover shifts, weekend work, and full personal care may be required; prior disability experience is valued. Join a team that values compassion, reliability and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support is highly regarded.
• Qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Nursing or Aged Care preferred.
• Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR certificate is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care including showering, toileting, mobility assistance.
• Support daily living activities and independent living skills.
• Assist participants with complex needs and behaviours with calmness and professionalism.
• Support medication administration as trained and per participant plans.
• Assist with transfers and use of mobility equipment where required.
• Encourage community participation and social engagement.
• Complete shift notes, progress notes and required documentation.
