Job summary

Aligned Community Care is hiring a Disability Support Worker to assist a young person with autism in North Strathfield. The role is casual (TFN) with a 2:1 support model and ongoing roster, backed by an experienced Disability Service Manager and training.

You’ll provide personal care, daily living support, and community activities while following care plans and safety procedures. Flexibility across 24/7 shifts is required to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex needs, including autism and behaviours of concern.
• Ability to work in a 2:1 support model with a teammate and supervisor.
• Capability to follow care plans and maintain accurate shift notes.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support, including meal prep and basic household tasks.
• Support independence, routines and life skills development.
• Get out into the community and pursue client interests and goals.
• Respond calmly to behaviours of concern using de-escalation strategies.
• Follow care plans, including any prescribed medication support and safety procedures.
• Keep accurate shift notes and incident records.
