Knight Frank Australia is seeking a hands-on Centre Manager to oversee daily operations of a busy West Sydney shopping centre, balancing BAU with a complex stakeholder environment. Drive improvements, resolve challenges and make a visible difference across the centre.

Lead on-site teams, engage retailers, customers, and the local community, while managing budgets and capital works to optimise asset performance and long-term value.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management delivering operational, commercial and customer outcomes.
• Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, forecasts and capex plans, ensuring strong financial performance.
• Drive retailer engagement and performance through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Monitor centre performance including sales trends, feedback, occupancy and key metrics for continuous improvement.
• Partner with Asset Management, Leasing and Marketing to support activations, events and asset enhancements.
• Oversee facilities management, maintenance programs and essential services to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, risk management and governance requirements.
• Lead capital works, upgrades and asset initiatives with minimal disruption to retailers and trade.
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience and retailer performance.

The Role:

We're seeking a hands‑on Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of a shopping centre in the West of Sydney, balancing business-as-usual management with a complex stakeholder environment. You'll be empowered to drive improvements, resolve challenges and make a visible difference across the centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day management of this centre delivering exceptional operational, commercial and customer outcomes.
• Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure plans, ensuring strong financial performance and cost control.
• Drive retailer engagement and performance through proactive communication, issue resolution and a customer‑focused approach.
• Monitor centre performance, including sales trends, customer feedback, occupancy and key operational metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Partner with Asset Management, Leasing and Marketing teams to support activations, events, leasing initiatives and asset enhancement opportunities.
• Oversee facilities management, maintenance programs, essential services and contractor performance to ensure a safe, well‑presented and operationally efficient environment.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, risk management and governance requirements, maintaining accurate records and operational documentation.
• Lead the delivery of capital works, upgrades and asset initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption to retailers, customers and trade.
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the customer experience, strengthen retailer performance and contribute to the long‑term success of the assets.
