Job summary

Glad Group is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of a busy shopping centre in New South Wales. You will maintain facilities to a high standard while ensuring a safe and well-presented environment for tenants and visitors.

Key duties include inspections, responding to requests, diagnosing faults, and coordinating with contractors. The role may involve on-call duties and working in various indoor/outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities management is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with tenants and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of the shopping centre including common areas, restrooms, parking areas and exterior grounds.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and centre management.
• Diagnose faults and complete minor repairs in a timely and safe manner.
• Monitor and maintain fire safety systems, alarms and emergency lighting.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and servicing.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
• Assist with centre event set-ups and seasonal installations.
• Conduct daily checks of escalators, lifts and automatic doors (reporting issues where required).
