Job summary

Vicinity Centres is seeking a Maintenance Officer to support the seamless operation of our retail centres across Australia. You will oversee preventative maintenance, manage building services such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and ensure safety, cleanliness and accessibility for retailers, staff and customers.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will coordinate with contractors, manage the CMMS, plan preventive schedules, and respond to incidents with a focus on reducing

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining building services and facilities.
• Ability to deliver allocated maintenance projects on time and within budget.
• Awareness of risk registers and HSE requirements.
• Understanding of emergency wardens and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities to a high standard (staff toilets, loading docks, malls, public facilities).
• Identify maintenance needs within budget.
• Repair and maintain lighting, structures, carparks, signage, gates.
• Procure tools and supplies as approved.
• Complete repairs from inspections.
• Support emergency management procedures and equipment.
• Assist with minor capital expenditure programs.
• Administer CMMS and assign maintenance tasks.
• Routine maintenance on elevated work platforms and vehicles.
• Compile monthly job completion statistics.
