Job summary

Vicinity Centres is seeking a Maintenance Officer to support the seamless operation of all centre facilities. You will keep plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems functioning safely, manage routine maintenance, and liaise with contractors to prevent disruption to retailers and customers.

You will contribute to the centre’s safety, cleanliness and emergency preparedness, maintaining high standards and coordinating with operations, contractors and external stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• Experience managing building services through trade experience.
• Deliver allocated projects and reactive maintenance on time and budget.
• Awareness of a risk register and HSE requirements.
• Understanding of warden responsibilities and emergency support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities to a high standard including staff toilets, loading docks, malls and public areas.
• Identify maintenance needs within budget and coordinate repairs.
• Repair and maintain lighting, structures, carparks, signage and gates.
• Procure tools and supplies as needed and manage procurement.
• Support centre emergency management and operate emergency equipment when required.
• Administer CMMS and assign jobs to maintenance staff.
• Oversee routine maintenance on elevated platforms and vehicles.
