Knight Frank Australia is seeking two hands-on Facilities Managers (site-based) in Brisbane to oversee day-to-day operations of shopping centres. You will manage hard and soft services, maintenance, safety compliance, and contractor performance to ensure centres are ready for trade each day.

The role demands a commercially-minded, accountable professional capable of delivering practical solutions within budget, engaging with landlords, tenants, retailers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experienced Facilities Manager or Facilities Coordinator ready to take the next step.
• Strong trade background or technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, building, HVAC, or similar disciplines would be highly regarded.
• Confident managing hard and soft services, preventative maintenance (PPM) programs, contractor performance, cap submissions and day to day operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility hard and soft services, maintenance, compliance, project management and contractor performance to ensure each shopping centre remains safe, efficient and ready for trade every day.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and presentation of a portfolio of shopping centres across Brisbane.
• Coordinate contractor inductions and ensure works are completed to quality, safety and compliance requirements.
• Maintain all compliance and essential services documentation, ensuring certifications are current and support operational readiness for trade.

Job description

• We are recruiting two shopping centre facilities managers in Brisbane.
• You will oversee the facilities management for a portfolio of Shopping Centres for the Warner or West Brisbane Hubs (travel allowance available).
• This role will help you build strong stakeholder relationships working directly with retailers, contractors and clients.

Who we’re looking for?

• Experienced Facilities Manager or Facilities Coordinator ready to take the next step.
• Strong trade background or technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, building, HVAC, or similar disciplines would be highly regarded.
• Confident managing hard and soft services, preventative maintenance (PPM) programs, contractor performance, cap submissions and day to day operational issues.
• Ability to interact with all stakeholders in a professional manner, including the Landlord's representatives, retailers, customers and contractors.

The role

• Our facilities managers are hands on, site-based and responsible for the day-to-day operations and presentation of a portfolio of shopping centres across Brisbane.
• You’ll manage facility hard and soft services, along with maintenance, compliance, project management and contractor performance to ensure each shopping centre remains safe, efficient and ready for trade every day.
• We are looking for a commercially minded, highly accountable individual who takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and consistently finds practical solutions to challenges. The successful candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and capable of delivering outstanding results within tight budget parameters

Key Responsibilities

• Manage planned, proactive and reactive maintenance activities, looking for improvement opportunities & efficiencies within the shopping centres.
• Coordinating contractor inductions and ensuring works are completed to quality, safety and compliance requirements.
• Complete regular inspections and risk assessments, addressing issues promptly and escalating as needed.
• Scope and quote more complex repairs and put together capital expense proposals and requests for funding.
• Maintain all compliance and essential services documentation, ensuring certifications are current and support operational readiness for trade.
• Support tenancy delivery activities, coordinating access and ensuring retailer fit outs meet compliance and centre requirements.
