GYG Westfield Belconnen in Canberra is seeking a confident Shift Leader to guide a busy team on service, uphold food safety and quality, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will coach staff, manage rostering, and drive performance against restaurant goals, with opportunities to grow into Assistant Restaurant Manager. Experience in fast-paced hospitality, strong communication, and a people-first mindset are essential; availability for evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
• Willing to undertake Responsible Service of Alcohol course.

About the Role

We’re looking for confident and motivated Shift Leaders / Assistant Restaurant manager to help run great shifts and lead great teams. As a Leader, you’ll be the steady presence on shift, setting the pace, supporting the team and making sure every guest has a positive experience. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards across service, food quality, safety and teamwork. Job Description

The Shift Leader is responsible for effectively leading the team during specific periods of trade and motivating and engaging the team on shift, by championing our food safety and food quality standards. You will be leading the team through busy service periods, crew training and proactively improving guest experience.
