Job summary

El Jannah in NSW is seeking an Assistant Manager / Shift Leader to drive daily restaurant operations and guest experience. You’ll lead from the floor, train crew, uphold food safety and WHS standards, and support the Restaurant Manager in achieving performance targets.

You’ll bring 1–2 years in a fast-paced hospitality setting, strong communication, calm leadership under pressure, and a genuine passion for food and people. A flexible roster, including evenings and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a QSR or fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Proven experience leading or supporting teams in a leadership role.
• Strong communication and people leadership skills.
• Calm, confident approach under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety, WHS and operational compliance.

About The Role

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you’ll help lead the team, drive high standards across food quality, service, safety and cleanliness, and contribute to strong commercial performance. As part of the team, you’ll also help train our crew and set the culture and standards that every future El Jannah will be measured against.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and building a positive, high-performing team culture.
