InterContinental Sydney is seeking a Shift Engineer to join its Engineering team, ensuring safe, reliable and impeccably maintained hotel operations in a luxury setting. The role covers daily and preventative maintenance, guest and colleague support, and collaboration with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders.

Candidates should have 2+ years in Engineering or maintenance, with hospitality experience preferred and strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.

Qualificações

• 2+ years’ experience in Engineering, Maintenance or a similar role.
• Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment preferred.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent relationship-building with colleagues, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out daily maintenance and engineering operations across the entire hotel.
• Respond to maintenance requests and attend to guest and colleague requirements in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete preventative maintenance across hotel plant, equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, minimising disruption to hotel operations and the guest experience.
• Ensure all engineering work is completed safely, on time and in compliance with relevant requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to coordinate maintenance and repairs.
• Support project planning and the delivery of maintenance initiatives across the hotel.
• Maintain strong records and documentation relating to maintenance activities.
• Contribute to a proactive Engineering culture focused on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
