InterContinental Sydney is seeking a proactive Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will carry out daily maintenance and engineering operations across the hotel and respond to guest and colleague requests in a timely, professional manner.

The role requires 2+ years in engineering or maintenance, experience in hotel environments, and a strong focus on safety and documentation. Full Australian working rights and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in engineering, maintenance, or similar.
• Hotel or hospitality environment experience is highly regarded.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proactive approach to building relationships with colleagues, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload.
• Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsabilités

• Carry out daily maintenance and engineering operations across the hotel.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Complete preventative maintenance across hotel plant, equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to minimise disruption.
• Ensure all engineering work is safe and compliant with requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Support project planning and delivery of maintenance initiatives.
• Maintain records and documentation related to maintenance activities.
