InterContinental Sydney is seeking a Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team at Circular Quay. You will maintain hotel facilities, carry out daily and preventative maintenance across the hotel, ensuring safety, reliability and top guest comfort.

With 2+ years in engineering or maintenance, hotel experience is valued; you will coordinate with contractors, document maintenance work, and support capital projects while upholding IHG standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Engineering, Maintenance or a similar role is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is highly regarded.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and a practical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
• A proactive approach to developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, contractors and external stakeholders.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload effectively.
• Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safe working practices.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsabilités

• Carry out daily maintenance and engineering operations across the entire hotel.
• Respond to maintenance requests and attend to guest and colleague requirements in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete preventative maintenance across hotel plant, equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, minimising disruption to hotel operations and the guest experience.
• Ensure all engineering work is completed safely, on time and in compliance with relevant requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to coordinate maintenance and repairs.
• Support project planning and the delivery of maintenance initiatives across the hotel.
• Maintain strong records and documentation relating to maintenance activities.
• Contribute to a proactive Engineering culture focused on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
