Job summary

Latrobe Community Health Services in Gippsland is seeking a part-time SETS Officer based in Morwell (0.8 FTE) with a fixed term until June 2027. The role focuses on delivering settlement support to humanitarian entrants and other eligible migrants, improving access to services and participation within communities.

You will work in a not-for-profit health care environment, contributing to culturally responsive services and cross-sector partnership development.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline (social work, human/community services, counselling) is desirable
• A current Working with Children Check
• Victorian Drivers License

The SETS Officer supports humanitarian entrants and other eligible migrants to successfully settle in Gippsland, by increasing their knowledge, capability, access to services, and participation within their communities. The role contributes to improved settlement outcomes through person-centred support, community capacity building, and coordinated engagement with support services and community stakeholders.

The role is accountable for delivering settlement support services to individuals with low to medium settlement needs, facilitating access to appropriate services, identifying emerging community needs, and strengthening community connections. It contributes to the development of culturally responsive services, supports partnership development across the settlement sector, and promotes greater social, economic, and community participation for multicultural communities.

Located is negotiable across Gippsland, part time (0.8 FTE), fixed term until June 2027
