Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia seeks an experienced ServiceNow Engineer to join the Platform Team in Sydney on a 2-year max term basis. The role focuses on platform engineering, environment management, deployments and operational readiness for a major ServiceNow uplift.

You will collaborate with project teams, stakeholders and partners to deliver secure, governed platform capabilities across environments, ensuring smooth handover to support. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
• Current ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
• Hands-on experience administering, configuring, developing and supporting ServiceNow.
• Experience with workflows, forms, business rules, client scripts and integrations.
• Experience managing access, security roles, groups and administration.
• Experience promoting changes across multiple environments using structured release processes.
• Experience supporting testing, defect investigation and deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on ServiceNow engineering support across design, build, testing, deployment and transition.
• Configure and support ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations and platform capabilities.
• Manage platform administration: user access, security roles, groups and environment configuration.
• Coordinate the promotion and deployment of changes across dev, test, training and production.
• Support testing, technical defect investigation and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot platform, integration and data flow issues affecting delivery.
• Ensure changes follow governance, change and release processes.
• Prepare technical documentation and deployment instructions.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer and handover to Platform team.
