Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ballarat invites a motivated Service Writer to join our Service team. You will support day-to-day workshop administration, work closely with technicians and customers, and help ensure accurate invoicing and records while delivering excellent service.

The successful candidate will have strong organisation, communication skills, and a collaborative approach, with experience in administration and a basic understanding of mechanical terms; Year 12 or equivalent is desirable.

  • Previous administration or customer service experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach
  • A general understanding of mechanical or technical terminology is advantageous but not essential
  • Year 12 completion or relevant experience is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Responding to internal and external customer enquiries
  • Creating and managing service work orders from commencement through to invoicing
  • Maintaining accurate service records and department documentation
  • Updating customer and equipment information within company systems
  • Assisting with technician efficiency reporting
  • Processing warranty and product improvement program claims
  • Supporting the Service Department with administrative and operational tasks
  • Contributing to a positive customer experience and efficient workshop operations

About the Role

As a Service Writer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Service Department. Working closely with technicians, customers, and the Service Manager, you'll help ensure workshop administration is completed accurately and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.
