Job summary

Precision Automotive Equipment is seeking a Service Technician/Hoist Installer to deliver expert service, repairs and installations across our workshop equipment range in Australia. This hands-on role combines technical work with strong customer service to ensure equipment reliability and safe operation on-site.

You will diagnose faults, perform manufacturer‑standard repairs, document activities, and maintain safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Trade or technical qualification relevant to mechanical, electrical or automotive equipment.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Forklift Licence (preferred).
• Experience servicing, repairing or installing mechanical or electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Field‑based technical experience in a customer‑facing environment.
• Exposure to wheel service and/or hoist equipment desirable.
• Strong safety awareness and disciplined work practices.
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Clear communicator with customers and team members.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical capability.
• Professional, respectful and solutions‑focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, breakdown and installation work on wheel service and vehicle hoist equipment.
• Diagnose faults and deliver effective, compliant repair solutions.
• Complete work to manufacturer specifications, technical standards and company procedures.
• Test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation following service or installation.
• Manage on‑site jobs efficiently, escalating issues or scope changes as required.
• Adhere to all WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices.
• Deliver high‑quality work within agreed timeframes, minimising rework and repeat visits.
• Accurately record labour, parts usage and service activities in company systems.
• Identify and manage hazards, applying appropriate risk controls at all times.
• Maintain required licences, certifications, safety documentation and compliance records.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and exceptional customer service outcomes

As the face of our business in the field, you’ll combine technical expertise with excellent customer service to ensure equipment reliability, outstanding workmanship, and safe, efficient outcomes for our customers.
