Job summary

Daikin Australia is seeking a qualified Air Conditioning Service Technician to join our Forrestfield, WA team. You will service and repair Daikin units in residential and commercial settings, diagnosing performance issues and performing commissioning.

A stable, fast-paced role with access to expert support and ongoing training. Applicants should hold a valid Trade Certificate/Qualification and Refrigerant Handling Licence, plus a current Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose HVAC system performance via testing and service manuals.
• Generate repair cost estimates per Daikin procedure for customer approval.
• Repair or service units to ensure efficient operation.
• Recommend further action such as replacement of units or accessories when required.
• Liaise with dealers, end users and contractors to resolve issues.
• Explain service charges and work performed to customers where applicable.

About the role

Drawing on the stability of the core business and the knowledge of our global business, you will play a pivotal role in the Service team providing repairs & commissioning to our customers. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role, working on Daikin units in both residential and commercial premises. We currently have an opportunity for a qualified air conditioning Service Technician to join our well-established team in help to support our business in Forrestfield, WA.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing HVAC system performance through testing and observation, as per applicable service manuals.
• Generating repair cost estimates as per Daikin procedure, for customer approval.
• Repairing or servicing units to ensure efficient operation.
• If required, recommend further action such as replacement of units or accessories.
• Liaising with dealers, end users, and contractors to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues.
• Providing detailed explanation of service charges and work performed, if chargeable, and collecting relevant payment.

As a Daikin Technician, you will have specialised training on products and access to experienced technical experts to assist with diagnosis and solutions.

About you

To be successful in your application for this role, we will be considering the following: Valid related Trade Certificate/Qualification Valid Refrigerant Handling License Valid Disconnect / Reconnect Electrical License Current Driver’s License Strong technical background in HVAC with experience in maintenance and repair (experience with Daikin products highly desirable). Strong attention to detail & ability to manage competing priorities. Well-developed problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.
