Job summary

Daikin Australia is seeking a qualified Service Technician to support repairs and commissioning of Daikin units in residential and commercial premises in Forrestfield, WA. You will join a dynamic service team and provide high‑quality HVAC maintenance and repair services.

The role requires a trade qualification, refrigerant handling license, electrical license, and a valid driver’s licence. On‑the‑job training and a fully maintained service vehicle are provided to support career growth.

Qualifications

• Valid related Trade Certificate/Qualification.
• Valid Refrigerant Handling License.
• Valid Disconnect / Reconnect Electrical License.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Strong technical background in HVAC with maintenance/repair experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose HVAC system performance through testing per service manuals.
• Generate repair cost estimates for customer approval.
• Repair or service units to ensure optimal operation, recommend replacements as needed.
• Liaise with dealers, end users and contractors to resolve issues.
• Explain service charges and work performed; collect payments when applicable.

About the role

Drawing on the stability of the core business and the knowledge of our global business, you will play a pivotal role in the Service team providing repairs & commissioning to our customers.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role, working on Daikin units in both residential and commercial premises. We currently have an opportunity for a qualified air conditioning Service Technician to join our well-established team inhelp to support our business in Forrestfield, WA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnosing HVAC system performance through testing and observation, as per applicable service manuals.


• Generating repair cost estimates as per Daikin procedure, for customer approval.


• Repairing or servicing units to ensure efficient operation. If required, recommend further action such as replacement of units or accessories.


• Liaising with dealers, end users, and contractors to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues.


• Providing detailed explanation of service charges and work performed, if chargeable, and collecting relevant payment.

As a Daikin Technician, you will have specialised training on products and access to experienced technical experts to assist with diagnosis and solutions.

About you

To be successful in your application for this role, we will be considering the following:

• Valid related Trade Certificate/Qualification


• Valid Refrigerant Handling License


• Valid Disconnect / Reconnect Electrical License


• Current Driver’s License


• Strong technical background in HVAC with experience in maintenance and repair (experience with Daikin products highly desirable).


• Strong attention to detail & ability to manage competing priorities.


• Well-developed problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.

In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete the following prior to an offer of employment:
