Job summary

Construction Equipment Australia seeks experienced Service Technicians to join our busy Horningsea Park workshop. This is your chance to work on world-class construction and earthmoving equipment while enjoying stability, support and career opportunities within a growing national business.

You'll diagnose faults, service, repair and inspect machines, complete reports and maintenance records, and collaborate with your workshop team while prioritising safety and quality.

Qualifications

• You will have a trade qualification in mobile plant technology, diesel fitting or heavy vehicle mechanics.
• Experience with earthmoving, construction, mining or mobile plant equipment is preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair a broad range of construction and earthmoving equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Complete inspections, pre-delivery preparations and maintenance records.
• Carry out repairs to manufacturer standards and complete accurate service reports.
• Work closely with workshop team to keep jobs moving and uphold safety procedures.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same. In this hands-on role you'll:

• Service, maintain and repair a broad range of construction and earthmoving equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Complete machine inspections and pre-delivery preparations
• Carry out repairs to manufacturer standards
• Accurately complete service reports, job cards and maintenance records
• Work closely with your workshop team to keep jobs moving efficiently
• Follow safety, quality and company procedures at all times
• Help improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime for our customers

What we’re looking for

You take pride in your work, enjoy solving technical problems and have a genuine passion for working on heavy machinery.

You'll ideally have:

• A trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology, Diesel Fitting, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or similar
• Experience working on earthmoving, construction, mining or mobile plant equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good hydraulic and mechanical knowledge
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to safety and delivering quality workmanship
