Job summary

Schindler Lifts Australia is seeking experienced Lift & Escalator Technicians to join our Service Team(s) across Sydney. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will minimize breakdowns and ensure lifts/escalators perform to customer expectations while working safely on-site.

The role covers both lifts and escalators; experience with maintenance and service of both is preferred but not essential. A strong customer service ethic and commitment to quality are required.

Qualifications

• A current electrical license.
• A current driver's license.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquette.
• Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular maintenance of lifts and escalators.
• Perform repair work to restore equipment to full service.
• Answer calls promptly and provide accurate ETA per response times.
• Keep site informed of arrival, departure and status of attendance.
• Shut down unsafe equipment following established procedures.
• Propose material alterations to improve performance where applicable.

About the role:

We are seeking experienced Lift & Escalator Technicians to join our ServiceTeam(s) in various areas across Sydney.Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for minimising breakdownsand ensuring that all lifts and/or escalators perform to customer expectations.

These role(s) cover both our lift and escalator products, we are looking for individual(s) who preferably have demonstrated experience in dealing with the maintenance and service of both lifts and escalators (preferred however not essential).

Key accountabilities:

• Carrying out regular maintenance
• Carrying out repair work to restore lift/escalator to full service
• Answer all calls promptly and provide an accurate ETA, in accordance with required response times
• Ensure that an appropriate person on site is kept informed of the arrival, departure, and status of your site attendance
• In accordance with established procedures shut down a lift or escalator which is regarded as unsafe and unable to be made to function properly
• Propose material alterations where it is felt the performance of the lift or escalator can be improved by doing so
