Job summary

Schindler Lifts Australia is seeking experienced Lift & Escalator Technicians to join our Service Team(s) across Sydney. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will minimize breakdowns and ensure lifts/escalators perform to customer expectations while working safely on-site.

The role covers both lifts and escalators; experience with maintenance and service of both is preferred but not essential. A strong customer service ethic and commitment to quality are required.

Qualifications

A current electrical license.
A current driver's license.
Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquette.
Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Carry out regular maintenance of lifts and escalators.
Perform repair work to restore equipment to full service.
Answer calls promptly and provide accurate ETA per response times.
Keep site informed of arrival, departure and status of attendance.
Shut down unsafe equipment following established procedures.
Propose material alterations to improve performance where applicable.
