MULTIVAC Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Field Service Technician to service, install, commission and maintain MULTIVAC packaging machines across Australia, including training operators and production staff. The role requires a current Electrician’s Licence or a trade qualification with a Restricted Electrical License, plus PLC knowledge and strong electronics skills.

Qualifications

• Current Electrician’s Licence or trade qualification with a Restricted Electrical Licence.
• Experience in food packaging or processing equipment is an advantage.
• Electronics knowledge and PLC drive experience are mandatory.
• Advanced knowledge of motor, servomotor and drive technology is a plus.
• Able to read electrical and pneumatic drawings to component level.
• Willing to work weekends and travel on short notice with flexible hours.
• Current Drivers Licence and strong work ethic with excellent communication.

Responsabilités

• Perform planned services on MULTIVAC equipment at customer sites.

• Investigate and correct underperforming machines to meet targets.
• Perform machine services and rebuilds in the workshop as required.
• Provide technical phone support when onsite attendance isn’t possible.
• Liaise with management on service matters across Australia.
• Attend machine-specific training courses as directed.
• Comply with safety guidelines and manage risks on site and in offices.

The Service Department manages technicians Australia wide ensuring that customers are fully supported during installation, commissioning, servicing and ongoing maintenance of machinery as well as providing training of operators, production and maintenance staff.

Main Duties:

• Perform planned services on MULTIVAC Australia supported equipment installed on customer sites;
• Travel to customer sites as required to diagnose and rectify technical issues causing breakdowns;
• Investigate and proactively work to correct problems where machines are not performing at required levels;
• Perform machine services and rebuilds in MULTIVAC workshop as required;
• Provide technical phone support to customers where onsite attendance is not able to be provided;
• Liaise with management on service-related matters within Australia;
• Attend machine -specific training courses as directed;
• Comply with local safety guidelines and ensure risks are identified and controlled whilst working on customer sites and MULTIVAC offices.

Relationships and Authority:

• Reports directly to State Service Manager

Required Skills:

• A current Electrician’s Licence OR be a trade qualified Fitter / Mechanic with a Restricted Electrical License;
• Experience in the food industry packaging or processing equipment is an advantage;
• Electronics skills and knowledge of PLC driven processes is mandatory;
• Advance knowledge of motor, servomotor and drive technology is a plus;
• Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings to a component level;
• Willingness to work weekends, travel at short notice and work flexible hours as required;
• Current Drivers License; and
• A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
