Job summary

FirstPoint Personnel is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our NSW service team, delivering install, service and breakdown support across packaging & automation equipment.

The role offers autonomy across installation, preventative maintenance and on-site customer training, with a company vehicle, full tooling and structured onboarding to support long-term stability in a national organisation.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Experience servicing industrial machinery or packaging systems.
• Strong fault-finding in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work autonomously in a field-based role.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission packaging and automation equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.

Field Service Technician – Packaging & Automation Equipment

A leading national provider specialising in end-of-line packaging and automation equipment servicing major Australian manufacturers, logistics providers and food production facilities.

Due to continued growth, an experienced Field Service Technician is required to join their NSW service team. This role offers autonomy, technical variety and long-term stability working across installation, servicing and breakdown support of packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission packaging and automation equipment
• Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Diagnose faults and attend breakdown repairs
• Perform mechanical, electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting
• Complete minor equipment modifications and upgrades
• Provide on-site customer support and operator training

Skills and Experience

• Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification essential
