Job summary

Heat and Control Pty Ltd in Scoresby, near Melbourne, is seeking a Service Engineer to install, commission, service and repair food processing and packaging equipment. You’ll work with advanced lines and gain exposure to X-ray units, check weighers, and VFFS systems.

Based in Victoria, you’ll join a tight-knit team with a company vehicle, laptop and phone provided, and opportunities for ongoing training and career growth as you support customers across the region.

Qualifications

• Victorian Unrestricted Electrical Work Licence required.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
• Field service experience preferred.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Ability to generate basic Word/Excel reports.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer callouts to diagnose and resolve a variety of electrical and mechanical issues.
• Install machines, attachments, parts and equipment and ensure operation in accordance with OEM instructions and customer expectations.
• Conduct customer training after installation/commissioning including proper setup, operating, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of machinery, including generating comprehensive machine condition reports based upon your findings.
• Validate machinery performance and provide certificates to customers.

About the Role

As a key member of our close-knit team, you’ll take charge of installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing a diverse array of cutting-edge food processing, packaging, and inspection equipment. You'll work with industry leaders in X-ray units, check weighers, multi-head weighers, VFFS machines, and much more, making a real impact in the food industry!

Our Victorian service team is based in Scoresby, where we proudly support the greater Melbourne region, as well as some regional and interstate projects. With a talented mix of electrical and mechanical professionals, we’re excited to expand our team and are seeking a passionate Service Engineer to be part of our continued growth!

Key responsibilities include:

• Respond to customer callouts to diagnose and resolve a variety of electrical and mechanical issues.

About you

• A VICTORIAN Unrestricted Electrical Work License is a must for this role
• Previous electrical & mechanical troubleshooting experience is necessary
• Field service experience preferred
• Experience on packaging and inspection equipment preferred but not essential
• Hold a valid Australian driver's license
• A high standard of performance for self & others with excellent attention to detail
• Willingness to take action beyond specific explicit job responsibilities
• Ability to fit into a team and keen to ensure excellent working relationships
• Ability to generate basic Word and Excel documents for reporting to customers as well as Heat and Control internal stake holders.
