Job summary

DMW Industries, a Melbourne-based provider of commercial laundry equipment, seeks a Service Technician to join our team. This hands-on role covers fault finding, repair, and installation across Melbourne Metro, with on-site and Heidelberg West workshop duties.

Ideal candidates will service washers/dryers, diagnose electrical faults, and have a Class D Electrical Licence with a valid driver’s licence. You’ll work independently with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing commercial washers and dryers or similar equipment.
• Experience with brands such as Maytag, Dexter, Speed Queen, LG or Miele is highly regarded.
• Good electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• A minimum Class D Electrical Licence.
• A current driver's licence.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

DMW Industries has been supplying, servicing, renting and route operating commercial laundry equipment across Victoria for more than 50 years. We are a small, established business supporting customers across Melbourne and are looking for a Service Technician to join our team.

About the role

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys fault finding, fixing equipment, working with customers and solving problems. You'll spend your time both on the road servicing and installing commercial equipment throughout Melbourne Metro, and in our Heidelberg West workshop working on repairs and equipment maintenance.

Key responsibilities

Your days will involve a mix of field service and workshop work, including:

Servicing and repairing commercial washers, dryers and dishwashers

Install and setup of machines in new sites

Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults

Attending customer sites throughout Melbourne Metro

Investigating customer complaints and finding practical solutions

Carrying out preventative maintenance
