Job summary

F.L. Costello & Co, an Australian family-owned distributor of Speed Queen commercial laundry equipment, seeks an Appliance Service Technician/Electrician for full-time work across NSW/ACT. Field work at aged care, hotels, childcare, and more with travel 1–4 nights regionally.

You will need electrical or gas fitting qualifications, 1–2 years of appliance repair experience, and strong customer service skills. Overtime and travel allowances apply.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to travel regionally for 1–4 nights occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair Speed Queen commercial laundry equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot electrical/gas/appliance issues and perform repairs.
• Travel regionally for site visits and overnight stays as required.
• Report to Service Manager and contribute to team knowledge base.

We are the sole authorised distributor for NSW & ACT, WA, SA & NT, and home retail in QLD. Located in Auburn, the Sydney branch services and supplies commercial laundry equipment throughout NSW and the ACT in both domestic and commercial settings. Our team of highly experienced employees are committed to customer satisfaction and providing high-quality service to our customers.

Our expansion and success have placed us in need of an experienced technician to join our team.

About the role:

We are currently seeking an Appliance Service Technician/Electrician to join our service team on a full-time basis Monday to Friday with overtime available if desired. Work will predominately be based on customer sites which include but are not limited to Aged Care, Hotels & Motels, Childcare Centres, Caravan Parks, Laundromats, Residential Homes, and Government facilities.

Reporting to the Service Manager you will be part of an experienced team where customer support is their primary focus.

About you?

Ideally, we are seeking someone with the following attributes and skills:

• Electrical/Gas or Appliance background preferred
• Trade qualification in electrical or gas fitting
• Trade Background/Mechanical Aptitude/Troubleshooting Experience
• 1-2 years of appliance repair experience
• Eager to learn and able to take instructions
• Physically fit due to the nature of the role
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to travel away regionally for 1-4 nights occasionally
