• Experience in a similar service management role within the agricultural or automotive equipment industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in workshop management systems and service scheduling software.
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to automotive workshops.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints professionally.
• Current driver's licence (essential for this role).
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in automotive or agricultural mechanics (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all service operations, including scheduling, workload planning and resource allocation
• Supervise and mentor service technicians, providing guidance, training and performance management
• Ensure all vehicles are serviced to the highest standards and in compliance with manufacturer specifications
• Coordinate with customers to understand their service requirements and provide quotations
• Monitor service quality, equipment maintenance and workshop safety standards
• Track service metrics, including turnaround times, customer satisfaction and revenue targets
• Manage warranty claims and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers as needed
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the service department
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
