Job summary

TASK is seeking a Service Leader at Stanmore Public School in NSW for before and after school care. The role requires running a large service with a team of educators, ensuring safety, inclusivity and compliance with policies.

Permanent, part-time (27.5 hrs/wk term; up to 38 hrs/wk in vacation care) with a focus on community relationships and child safety. WWCC, CHCPRT025, GECCKO, and first aid training are expected.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience at a large OSHC service.
• Confidence managing a team of 15+ Educators across a busy session.
• Availability every morning and every afternoon.
• WWCC (Working With Children Check) relevant to NSW.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of a large service, ensuring a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for more than 200 children.
• Lead, deploy and support a team of Educators each session.
• Build strong relationships with families and the school community.
• Ensure compliance with NQF standards and TASK policies.
• Work closely with Area Manager, supporting administrative duties.

TASK runs before and after school care and vacation care at 40 schools across NSW. We are seeking a Service Leader at Stanmore Public School, one of our largest services. This is a role for an experienced leader who is confident running a big, busy floor.

This is a permanent, part-time, 52-week position offering a minimum of 27.5 hours per week during term, across before school care (7am to 9am) and after school care (2:30pm to 6pm) Monday to Friday. During vacation care, hours are as rostered, up to 38 per week. You will need to be available every morning and every afternoon.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of a large service, ensuring a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for more than 200 children
• Lead, deploy and support a team of Educators each session
• Build strong relationships with families and the school community
• Ensure compliance with NQF standards and TASK policies
• Work closely with your Area Manager, supporting and assisting with administrative duties
• Create a fun, inclusive, enriching and safe environment for children

What we’re looking for

• Leadership experience at a large OSHC service
• Confidence managing a team of 15+ Educators across a busy session
• Availability every morning and every afternoon
• A Certificate III (or higher) in Children’s Services, Education, or a related field is preferred
• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Completion certificate for Foundations of Child Safety Training (GECCKO)
• Accredited child protection training: Identify and respond to children and young people at risk (CHCPRT025)
• First Aid (HLTAID012) and CPR (HLTAID009)
• Asthma and anaphylaxis training
• A commitment to putting child safety and families first
