Job summary

Wellways is seeking a Service Integration Lead to oversee Carer Gateway services across Rockhampton and Gladstone. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, build regional partnerships and ensure accessible, culturally safe support for carers.

The role requires travel within the service area, budget oversight, and a focus on reaching carers facing access barriers. Employment is a full-time fixed-term contract to 30 June 2027, with potential extension.

Wellways is seeking an experienced and community-focused leader to oversee the delivery and integration of Carer Gateway services across Rockhampton and Gladstone. Carer Gateway is an Australian Government-funded program providing free support to unpaid carers - people who care for a family member, partner or friend living with disability, a medical condition, mental illness, alcohol or other drug concerns, or age-related frailty. This role offers the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team, strengthen regional partnerships and improve access to support for carers across diverse communities. **The opportunity:** As Service Integration Lead, you will oversee a team of approximately six employees delivering services including: * Counselling* Coaching* In-person peer support* Community engagement and service awareness* Connections and referrals to other appropriate supportsYou will lead the integration of Carer Gateway services across Rockhampton, Gladstone and surrounding communities, ensuring the service is visible, accessible and responsive to local needs. An important part of the role will be building relationships with hospitals, health services, community organisations and local providers. You will create referral pathways, identify opportunities for collaboration and increase awareness of the support available to unpaid carers. The position has a particular focus on reaching people who may experience barriers to accessing traditional services, including young carers, LGBTQIA+ carers, carers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people living in regional or more isolated communities.
