Job summary

Wellways Mount Isa Carer Hub is seeking a Team Leader to oversee Carer Gateway Services in Mount Isa. You will lead day-to-day operations, coach Carer Hub Navigators and coordinate local staffing to meet service demand while keeping carers at the centre of care.

The role focuses on building strong community connections, stakeholder engagement and ensuring safe, high-quality services. Applicants should have tertiary qualifications plus experience in relevant sectors.

• Tertiary qualification in social science, community services, health or human services, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams in carer, mental health, community, disability or health sectors.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills; knowledge of local community.

Working closely with the Service Integration Lead, you’ll play a key role in coordinating local operations, workforce coverage and service demand while ensuring safe, high-quality and carer-centred outcomes.A key part of your role will be building strong local community connections. You’ll engage with carers, community organisations, service providers and referral partners to strengthen support networks, improve access and ensure services reflect the needs of the local community.
