Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a Service Manager to lead on-site operations in Mackay, Queensland. You will oversee daily activities, drive service delivery, and manage costs while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates bring mechanical trade qualifications with strong leadership and a proven ability to maintain mining equipment, diagnose faults, and coordinate preventative and breakdown maintenance. A professional, proactive approach and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading service teams in mining or heavy equipment environments.
• Strong ability to manage resources, schedules, and budgets.
• Experience diagnosing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults on heavy machinery.
• Proven track record in preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Excellent customer-facing skills and professional demeanor.
• Solid computer skills and experience with service management tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization.

• Ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence.
• Manage service job costs, including labour and resource allocation.
• Monitor work in progress to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports in a timely manner.
• Adhere to OHS, Quality, and Environmental policies for Epiroc and customers.
• Complete KPI-related tasks and provide regular reporting on performance.
• Perform other administrative duties as required.

We are currently seeking aService Managerto join our team inMackay, QLD. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of Epiroc equipment and resources at the customer site, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage customer expectations and consistently deliver outstanding service
• Oversee daily activities to meet business objectives and ensure timely service delivery
• Manage service job costs, including labor and resource allocation
• Monitor and manage work in progress to ensure project milestones are met
• Prepare and submit reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Adhere to OHS, Quality, and Environmental policies, both for Epiroc and our customers
• Complete KPI-related tasks and provide regular reporting on performance
• Perform other administrative duties as required

Key Requirements:

• Mechanical trade qualifications or equivalent
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Extensive experience in maintaining surface/underground mining equipment, hydraulic repairs, diagnostics, and low-voltage electrical repairs
• Experience in both preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and proactive approach
• High level of computer literacy and administrative skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
