Job summary

Centurion is seeking an experienced Operations Superintendent to lead yard operations at our Perth Airport branch in Western Australia. This senior role focuses on optimising safety, performance and efficient freight movement across the site, by coordinating people, equipment and processes.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage a team of supervisors, oversee rostering and labour utilisation, and ensure compliance with CoR and fatigue management while partnering with internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in transport, logistics or yard operations.
• Understanding of end-to-end freight operations and yard management.
• Ability to lead leaders and drive team performance at scale.
• Knowledge of CoR, fatigue management and load restraint practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all yard operations ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Provide strong leadership to supervisors and yard teams.
• Oversee workforce planning, rostering and labour utilisation.
• Drive high-performance culture focused on safety and service.
• Ensure CoR, fatigue management and load restraint compliance.
• Monitor KPIs and service levels and drive improvements.
• Optimise yard layout and workflow for efficiency.
• Lead incident investigations and risk management.
• Collaborate with internal and customer-facing teams.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
