Job summary

Centurion is seeking a hands-on Yard Hand Operator to support our yard operations in Western Australia. You will safely handle freight, operate multiple forklift types, and ensure loads are restrained and tracked accurately throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Current LF Forklift Licence with practical experience.
• Proven experience handling general and oversize freight.
• Strong load restraint skills (ratchet straps, chains & binders).
• Previous yard hand or similar experience.
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team.
• RF scanner experience (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Operate various size counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T & 16T).
• Handle general, ugly, palletised and oversize freight.
• Secure loads in line with the Load Restraint Guide using ratchet straps, chains and binders.
• Scan and track freight through all stages (received, staged, loaded & unloaded).
• Prepare outbound freight for safe and secure dispatch.
