Job summary

Centurion is recruiting a Depot Supervisor (PM Shift) to lead the afternoon yard operations at our Perth Airport branch. This role runs Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm and focuses on safe, accurate loading, unloading and dispatch.

You will supervise the PM shift yard activities, coach staff, ensure compliance with CoR, fatigue management and chain of responsibility, and drive a culture of safety and operational excellence. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in transport/logistics or yard ops.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling and yard processes.
• Proven leadership with ability to motivate and manage teams.
• Excellent organizational and time management in fast-paced environments.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence.
• Familiarity with CoR, load restraint and fatigue management requirements.
• LF Forklift Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day PM shift yard operations to ensure safe and efficient freight movement
• Lead, coach and support yard staff, fostering a high-performing team
• Ensure trailers are loaded safely and compliant with legislation and customer requirements
• Ensure loading activities comply with CoR, load restraint and fatigue management requirements
• Coordinate rostering and workforce allocation to maintain coverage
• Monitor team performance and provide ongoing feedback, coaching and support
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimise efficiency
• Liaise with internal teams, drivers and stakeholders for smooth operations
• Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture and participate in incident management
