Job summary
AECOM is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer based in Rockhampton or Mackay, Australia, to lead drainage and flood modelling projects for major infrastructure. You will deliver design solutions, manage hydraulic assessments and mentor junior engineers within a global multidisciplinary team.
You will use tools such as Civil 3D, 12D, TUFLOW, URBS, XP-Rafts, and GIS to validate models and report findings.
Qualifications
- Proven Drainage/Flood Modelling industry experience (circa 5-15 years+)
- RPEQ or eligibility to apply for RPEQ preferred
- Experience in planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage networks or hydrologic modelling/assessments
Responsibilities
- Deliver drainage designs, stormwater management plans and hydraulic assessments for major projects
- Provide input into hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using listed tools
- Develop practical, innovative solutions to drainage and flooding challenges
- Produce high-quality technical reports and support project delivery
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance
- Engage with clients and regulators to provide trusted advice and help win work
- Ensure alignment with Australian standards and guidelines
