Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced water infrastructure engineer to join our regional team based in Townsville or Rockhampton. You will contribute to significant water projects, lead design to construction phases, and manage commercial aspects while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in working on/managing complex multidisciplinary projects and meeting delivery requirements in the water infrastructure industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively at both internal and external, client-facing level, developing new client relationships and maintaining existing networks within the business.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and designers, contributing to the growth of our talent pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Apply water infrastructure design skills to meaningful local and national projects.
• Lead project delivery from business development through design to construction, including commercial aspects.
• Provide technical leadership with multidisciplinary teams and ensure quality, timely, and budget-compliant outcomes.
• Mentor junior staff and build relationships with internal and external clients across sectors.
